Focus and Scope

NGABDI: Scientific Journal of Community Services publishes research and community service articles that focus on activities and innovations providing real impacts on society. This journal aims to disseminate the outcomes of research-based community service programs that support social, economic, educational, health, environmental, and technological development in various regions.

Scope

The scope of this journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Community empowerment in education, economy, and social development

  • Public health programs and health promotion

  • Appropriate technology development for communities

  • Environmental innovation and sustainability

  • Training and skills development for communities

  • Empowerment of vulnerable or special groups

  • Implementation of research findings for regional development

  • Strengthening community institutions and sustainable development

Peer Review Process

Each manuscript submitted to the editor will undergo an initial review by the Editorial Board. Following this stage, a plagiarism check will be conducted using a plagiarism detection tool. The review policies of NGABDI: Scientific Journal of Community Services are as follows:

  1. Reviewers will evaluate every submitted manuscript.

  2. The review process employs a double-blind review, meaning both the reviewers’ and authors’ identities are concealed from one another.

  3. During the review process, reviewers assess the relevance of the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusions. In addition, reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s novelty, scientific contribution, and the appropriateness of references used.


Publication Frequency

NGABDI: Scientific Journal of Community Services is published three times a year, with each issue consisting of a minimum of six (6) articles.


Open Access Policy

All content and articles published on the NGABDI journal website are open access and freely available for educational, research, and library purposes.


Plagiarism Check

NGABDI journal utilizes TURNITIN software to screen manuscripts for plagiarism prior to publication.


Publication Ethics

NGABDI: Scientific Journal of Community Services is a peer-reviewed journal published online three times a year. This code of ethics establishes minimum standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, the editor-in-chief, the editorial board, reviewers, and the journal manager/publisher. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).


Editor Ethics

  • The editor is responsible for conducting a thorough, transparent, objective, and fair review of submitted manuscripts.

  • The editor holds the authority to decide whether a manuscript will be published, subject to board discussions.

  • Editorial policies and applicable copyright and plagiarism laws are absolute and must be strictly upheld.

  • The editor must clearly communicate submission guidelines and requirements to potential authors.

  • The editor must ensure that all manuscripts meet review criteria and can be assessed by reviewers without bias.

  • The editor must remain objective and impartial in handling manuscripts, without discrimination based on gender, business interests, ethnicity, religion, race, group, or nationality.

  • The editor and editorial team must maintain confidentiality regarding authors’ information and may not disclose details without permission.

  • Submitted manuscripts must not be misused by the editor or editorial team for personal gain, in whole or in part. Unpublished manuscripts will be returned to the authors.


Reviewer Ethics

  • Reviewers are responsible for providing clear, measurable, and comprehensive recommendations regarding manuscripts.

  • Reviewers must respond to assigned manuscripts within a specified timeframe (three weeks).

  • Reviews must be conducted honestly, objectively, and independently, prioritizing scientific integrity.

  • Reviewers must ensure the accuracy and accountability of references and citations in manuscripts.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of manuscript content and may not use it for personal gain.


Author Ethics

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are their own original work, based on their research or ideas, and free from data manipulation or plagiarism.

  • Authors must declare that the manuscript has not been previously submitted or published elsewhere. If simultaneous submission is discovered, the manuscript will be rejected.

  • Authors must appropriately cite and reference other works and may not alter original sources.

  • Authors agree to editorial revisions that do not alter the substance or main idea of the manuscript.

  • Authors must comply with publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest, ensuring smooth and safe processing of the manuscript.


Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

  • The journal manager/publisher is responsible for publishing manuscripts after editing, peer review, and layout processes in accordance with scientific publishing standards.

  • The journal manager/publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their duties.

  • The journal manager/publisher is responsible for maintaining privacy, protecting intellectual property and copyright, and safeguarding editorial independence.
