Publication Ethics
NGABDI: Scientific Journal of Community Services is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year. The following code of ethics establishes minimum standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers/publishers. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Editor Ethics

Editors are responsible for managing manuscripts in a transparent, objective, and fair manner.

Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts based on editorial board meetings and journal policies, in compliance with copyright and plagiarism laws.

Editors must provide clear and accessible author guidelines.

Editors ensure manuscripts are suitable for review and meet publication standards.

Editors must be impartial and treat all authors equally, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or other personal attributes.

Editors and the editorial team must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and may not disclose or misuse any part of the content for personal gain.

Unpublished manuscripts must be returned to the authors and cannot be used for other purposes by editors or the editorial team.
Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers are responsible for providing constructive, measurable, and comprehensive evaluations of manuscripts.

Reviews must be completed within the specified time frame (3 weeks).

Reviewers must be honest, objective, and free from bias related to gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or other factors.

Reviewers must verify the accuracy and appropriateness of references and citations in manuscripts.

Confidentiality of manuscripts must be maintained; reviewers are prohibited from using content for personal advantage.
Author Ethics

Authors must ensure their manuscripts are original works derived from their own research or ideas, free from plagiarism, falsification, or data manipulation.

Manuscripts submitted to NGABDI must not be under consideration or published in other journals. Duplicate submissions will be rejected.

Authors must properly cite all sources and references and may not alter their meaning.

Authors accept that manuscripts may be edited without altering the core meaning or main idea.

Authors must understand and comply with publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure smooth processing of their manuscripts.
Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

The journal manager/publisher ensures articles are published after completing editorial, peer review, and layout processes in line with academic publishing standards.

Academic freedom for editors and reviewers must be upheld by the journal manager/publisher.

The manager/publisher is responsible for maintaining confidentiality, protecting intellectual property and copyright, and ensuring editorial independence.
