Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to NIZAM: International Journal of Islamic Studies undergo the following process:

  1. Initial Screening

    • Conducted by the Editorial Board to ensure suitability with the journal’s focus and scope as well as compliance with submission guidelines.

    • Manuscripts failing to meet these criteria may be returned to authors without external review.

  2. Plagiarism Check

    • Performed using plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review

    • Both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential throughout the review process.

    • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Relevance of the title, abstract, discussion, and conclusions;

  • Novelty and originality of the research;

  • Scientific contribution and potential impact;

  • Adequacy, accuracy, and currency of references.
