Deteksi Dini Sebagai Langkah Awal Preventif Penyakit Tidak Menular pada Masyarakat Beresiko di Desa Langeu-Eu Kecamatan Peukan Bada Aceh Besar

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity in Gampong Lam Geu Eu focuses on the prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, which threaten quality of life and increase economic burdens. On September 7, 2026, an early health screening involving blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid checks was held at the village hall with 15 participants in the late adult to elderly categories. Observational results indicated that all sample participants were at high risk: 11 people suffered from hypertension (>150 mmHg), 4 were pre-hypertensive, and 7 had blood sugar levels exceeding 200 mg/dL. This program had a positive impact by improving residents' understanding of the importance of early detection and educating them on maintaining a healthy lifestyle consistently. To suppress NCD rates and sustain the impact of the Integrated Health Post (Posbindu) program, Gampong Lam Geu Eu residents are advised to allocate time monthly for regular health check-ups at local Posyandu, Posbindu, or Puskesmas facilities.
