Global population ageing has become a major demographic, medical, and social challenge, requiring effective health promotion and disease prevention strategies to support healthy ageing. The World Health Organization (WHO), through the Decade of Healthy Ageing 2020–2030, emphasizes early disease detection and improving older adults’ quality of life. The growing elderly population underscores the need for community-based programs focusing on the prevention and early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This community service program aimed to improve older adults’ knowledge and awareness of routine health examinations while identifying risk factors for chronic diseases through a medical check-up. Activities included health education on healthy lifestyles, assessments of blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, uric acid, body weight, and body mass index (BMI), followed by individualized health consultations based on examination results. The program improved participants’ awareness of early disease detection and identified those at risk of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, and hyperuricemia, enabling appropriate education and referrals. Community-based medical check-up programs represent an effective preventive strategy for promoting healthy ageing, enhancing health awareness, and reducing the risk of chronic disease complications among older adults.
