Stroke, Diet, Lifestyle, PreventionAbstract
Cerebrovascular disease is a condition characterized by rapidly developing clinical signs of focal and global neurological disturbances. These signs may worsen and persist for more than 24 hours, potentially leading to death. The purpose of this activity was to enhance public understanding of how to prevent this disease and reduce its complications. The event took place in Kuwue Village, Montasik, Aceh Besar, and was attended by 18 community members in person. The community service activity was conducted through training and discussion methods. It began on August 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (WIB) and continued until completion. After participant registration, the session proceeded with a presentation on the objectives and materials covering the risk factors of the disease—commonly known as stroke—its triggers, and complications. The activity revealed that the community recognized several contributing factors, such as low-fiber diets, lack of physical activity, smoking, and excessive salt consumption. It was recommended that residents improve their lifestyle, dietary habits, and rest patterns, while families should continue to provide strong motivation to members who are vulnerable to these risks. In addition, health workers should enhance their responsibility to deliver consistent health education.
