Publication Ethics
BUSINESS: Scientific Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year. This code of ethics outlines minimum standards of ethical behavior expected of all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors-in-chief, editorial board members, reviewers, and the publisher. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Editor Ethics

Editors are responsible for thoroughly, transparently, objectively, and fairly reviewing submitted manuscripts.

The editorial board decides on manuscript acceptance or rejection in accordance with the journal’s policies and copyright regulations.

Editors must provide clear author guidelines and ensure manuscripts meet the criteria for peer review.

Editors must be impartial regardless of authors’ gender, business interests, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.

Editors and the editorial team must maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and may not use them for personal gain.

Unpublished manuscripts must be returned to the authors and not misused in any way.
2. Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers must provide objective, clear, and constructive feedback and recommendations within the agreed timeframe (3 weeks).

Reviews should be unbiased and based solely on academic merit, free from personal or professional conflicts of interest.

Reviewers must ensure that citations and references are accurate and appropriate.

All information in the reviewed manuscripts must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
3. Author Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted are original works resulting from their own research or thought.

Manuscripts must not contain fabricated data or plagiarism and must not be submitted simultaneously to other journals.

Authors must properly cite and acknowledge sources used in their manuscripts.

Authors must accept editorial revisions that do not alter the main substance or meaning of their work.

Authors must comply with ethical standards to avoid conflicts of interest during the publication process.
4. Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

The journal manager/publisher oversees the entire publication process, including editing, peer review, and layout, in accordance with scholarly publishing standards.

The journal manager/publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers.

The journal manager/publisher protects confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and editorial independence.
