Dampak Impor Pakaian Bekas Terhadap Kestabilan Industri Tekstil dan Produk Tekstil di Indonesia

Abstract

Export and Import is one of the international relations in the field of trade. Various export and import commodities have been regulated in clear regulations. However, there are still commodities that have actually been banned from being imported but are still being carried out. One of the commodities prohibited from importing is used clothing as stated in Article 2 of Regulation of the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Number 51/M-DAG/PER/7/2015 concerning Prohibition of Importing Used Clothing. The domino effect is that the more people buy used clothes, the local fashion industry will be shaken. This study uses an empirical approach, research conducted according to real conditions in a situation with the aim of finding facts. To obtain reliable data, researchers collect various information that will be used as a comparison to determine the extent to which used clothing import activities affect the local industry. The findings show that, even though clear regulations exist regarding the ban on the import of used clothing, the number of requests is getting higher. This is because the lifestyle of the Indonesian people is very influential on the demand for used clothes.
