Efektivitas Manajemen Prosedur Surat Masuk dalam Mendukung Kinerja Administrasi Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Ponorogo

The management of incoming and outgoing correspondence constitutes an essential component of public administrative management, playing a crucial role in ensuring effective communication and smooth organizational operations. Within the General Affairs and Personnel Subdivision of the Ponorogo Regency Education Office, correspondence management serves as a managerial instrument that supports administrative functions, including planning, organizing, implementation, and control. This study aims to analyze the management of incoming and outgoing correspondence and to identify the constraints that affect administrative effectiveness. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through direct observation and interviews with officials directly involved in correspondence administration. The data were analyzed descriptively to provide a detailed depiction of workflow processes and managerial practices. The findings indicate that the management of incoming correspondence involves recording, disposition, distribution, and archiving processes, while outgoing correspondence is managed through stages of document planning, authorization, recording, and archival storage. The utilization of information technology, such as web-based information systems and document digitization, contributes to improved administrative efficiency and control.
