AZZAHRA: Scientific Journal of Social and Humanities publishes research articles in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The journal aims to provide a platform for scholarly works that contribute to the understanding and development of human and social dynamics in various contexts.

Peer Review Process

Each article submitted to the editor undergoes an initial review by the Editorial Board. A plagiarism check is then performed using the designated plagiarism detection tool. The review process of AZZAHRA: Scientific Journal of Social and Humanities adheres to the following policies:

  1. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by qualified reviewers.

  2. The review process applies a double-blind review system, ensuring that both reviewer and author identities are concealed from each other.

  3. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the relevance of the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusions. They also assess the novelty, scientific contribution, and appropriateness of references used in the paper.


Publication Frequency

AZZAHRA is published three times a year. Each issue contains a minimum of six (6) articles.


Open Access Policy

All content published in this journal is freely accessible for educational, research, and library purposes. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the authors.


Plagiarism Check

This journal utilizes TURNITIN software to detect and prevent plagiarism prior to publication.


Publication Ethics

AZZAHRA: Scientific Journal of Social and Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal published online twice a year. This code of ethics outlines the minimum standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors-in-chief, editorial boards, reviewers, and publishers. These ethical guidelines are based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).


Editor Ethics

  • The editor is responsible for reviewing submitted manuscripts thoroughly, transparently, objectively, and fairly.

  • The editor has full authority to decide whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected, in consultation with the editorial board.

  • Editorial decisions must comply with journal policies, copyright regulations, and anti-plagiarism principles.

  • The editor must provide clear and accessible author guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission.

  • The editor must ensure manuscripts are reviewed by qualified reviewers and meet the required standards.

  • Editors must be objective, impartial, and honest, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.

  • The editor and editorial team must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not disclose any information without the author’s consent.

  • Unpublished manuscripts must not be used for personal advantage and must be returned to the authors.


Reviewer Ethics

  • Reviewers are responsible for providing objective, measurable, and constructive feedback on manuscripts.

  • Reviewers must respond within the agreed review timeframe (3 weeks).

  • The review process must be conducted professionally and without bias related to gender, business interests, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.

  • Reviewers must verify the accuracy of references and citations used in the manuscript.

  • All information obtained during the review process must remain confidential and must not be used for personal gain.


Author Ethics

  • Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works derived from their own research or ideas, free from plagiarism and data manipulation.

  • Authors must declare that the manuscript has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.

  • Authors must properly cite sources and references used in their work without altering their meaning.

  • Authors agree to allow editorial revisions that do not alter the substance or main ideas of the manuscript.

  • Authors must adhere to scientific publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest, ensuring smooth processing of their manuscript.


Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

  • The journal manager/publisher is responsible for publishing articles after completing the editing, peer review, and layout processes in accordance with established scientific publishing standards.

  • The journal manager/publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers to carry out their duties responsibly.

  • The journal manager/publisher safeguards privacy, protects intellectual property and copyright, and upholds editorial independence.
