Publication Ethics
AZZAHRA: Scientific Journal of Social and Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal, published online twice a year. This code of ethics establishes a set of minimum standards to which all parties involved in the publication process are expected to adhere. It applies to authors, the editor-in-chief, editorial board members, reviewers, and the journal manager/publisher. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Editor Ethics

The editor is responsible for thoroughly, transparently, objectively, and fairly reviewing submitted manuscripts.

The editor has the authority to decide whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected, in accordance with editorial board policies and applicable laws regarding copyright, reputation, and plagiarism.

The editor must clearly provide information on submission guidelines and requirements to potential authors.

The editor ensures that every manuscript is reviewed by competent reviewers and meets the necessary requirements.

The editor must act objectively and impartially, without discrimination based on gender, business interests, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.

The editor and editorial team are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to unauthorized parties without the author’s consent.

The content of unpublished manuscripts must not be misused by the editor or editorial team for personal gain. Unpublished manuscripts will be returned to the authors.
Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers are responsible for providing clear, measurable, and constructive comments and recommendations on the manuscripts.

Reviewers must respond to the manuscripts within the specified review period (3 weeks).

Reviews must be conducted objectively, honestly, and independently, prioritizing scientific integrity without bias regarding gender, business interests, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.

Reviewers must verify that references and citations are appropriate and reliable.

Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and its contents and must not use it for personal gain.
Author Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript submitted to AZZAHRA: Scientific Journal of Social and Humanities is original, a result of their own research or thought, free from plagiarism, and does not involve data manipulation.

The manuscript submitted must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal or publication.

Authors must properly acknowledge and cite the work of others and must not modify or misrepresent sources.

Authors must accept that submitted manuscripts may undergo editing without altering the substance or main ideas.

Authors must understand and comply with these publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest and ensure a smooth publication process.
Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

The journal manager/publisher is responsible for publishing articles after they have undergone proper editing, peer review, and layout according to the journal’s publishing standards.

The journal manager/publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers in fulfilling their duties.

The journal manager/publisher safeguards privacy, intellectual property rights, and copyright, while maintaining editorial independence.
