Infidelity is a relational experience that has the potential to damage women’s trust, identity, and self-worth. This study aims to explore the dynamics of self-worth among women who are victims of infidelity and to understand their recovery process from the perspective of psychology and Islamic counseling. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, involving the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings identify five main themes describing the self-worth of women affected by infidelity: loss of self, emotional exhaustion, low self-worth as an internalization of the wounds caused by infidelity, emotional and spiritual coping, and empowerment alongside support systems. The results indicate that infidelity is often internalized as a personal failure, leading to a decline in self-worth. However, through spiritual coping strategies—such as increased religious practices, remembrance of God (dhikr), and a closer relationship with Allah—participants begin to reconstruct a more adaptive sense of self. This study highlights the importance of integrating psychological and spiritual approaches in assisting women who have experienced infidelity, particularly within the practice of Islamic counseling.
