Publication Ethics
ARRAZI: Scientific Journal of Health is a peer-reviewed journal, published online twice a year. The following code of conduct provides a minimum standard of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors-in-chief, editorial board members, reviewers, and journal managers/publishers. This statement is adapted from the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Editor Ethics

Editors are responsible for thoroughly, transparently, objectively, and fairly reviewing submitted manuscripts.

Editors have the authority to decide whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected for publication, in accordance with the decisions of the editorial board.

Editorial policies and laws on copyright, reputation, and plagiarism are absolute and must be upheld.

Editors must provide clear and accessible information regarding manuscript submission guidelines for prospective authors.

Editors must ensure that all manuscripts meet requirements and are suitable for review.

Editors must act objectively, impartially, and honestly, regardless of the authors’ gender, business affiliation, ethnicity, religion, race, group, or nationality.

Editors and the editorial team are obliged to maintain confidentiality and are prohibited from disclosing any information about submitted manuscripts without the authors’ permission.

Unpublished manuscripts must not be used for personal gain and will be returned to the authors.
Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers are responsible for providing constructive, clear, measurable, and comprehensive recommendations.

Reviewers must respond to manuscript review requests within the specified time (3 weeks).

Reviews must be conducted honestly, objectively, and professionally, upholding scientific truth and avoiding bias based on gender, business affiliation, ethnicity, religion, race, group, or nationality.

Reviewers must ensure that references and quotations are appropriate and accountable.

Reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the manuscript and must not use it for personal gain.
Author Ethics

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original, derived from their own research or ideas, and free from data manipulation and plagiarism.

Authors must declare that the manuscript has not been submitted or published elsewhere. Submissions found to be redundant will be rejected.

Authors must provide proper attribution for all sources cited and may not alter or falsify references.

Authors agree that manuscripts may be edited for clarity or formatting without altering the substance or core ideas.

Authors must adhere to publication ethics to avoid conflicts of interest, ensuring the manuscript can be processed smoothly and ethically.
Journal Manager / Publisher Ethics

The journal manager/publisher is responsible for publishing articles following proper editorial, peer review, and layout processes in accordance with scientific publishing standards.

The journal manager/publisher ensures academic freedom for editors and reviewers in performing their duties.

The journal manager/publisher is responsible for maintaining privacy, protecting intellectual property and copyright, and safeguarding editorial independence.
