Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the ten most prevalent skin diseases during 2022 at Puskesmas Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research design emphasizes in-depth and interpretative data collection regarding the characteristics, patterns, and factors that may influence the prevalence of skin diseases. The primary data source for this research is the medical records of patients who visited Puskesmas Grogol Petamburan during the examined period. Interviews with medical professionals, such as doctors and nurses, were also conducted to gain further insights into documented cases of skin diseases. The research findings indicate that Dermatitis, of unspecified origin, has a high prevalence, reflecting the complexity of triggering factors from the surrounding environment. Infections, especially Infective Dermatitis, were also found to be significant contributors. Allergic Dermatitis, including Atopic Dermatitis, highlights the potential role of genetic factors in the occurrence of skin diseases among the population in Jakarta. The presence of Lichen Simplex Chronicus indicates the impact of stress and scratching habits on skin health. These findings provide crucial insights for the development of more effective strategies for the prevention and management of skin diseases in urban environments like Jakarta.
