Abstract

Blood donation services and donor interest are significant indicators, as better services tend to increase public willingness to donate blood. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between service satisfaction and blood donation interest among adolescents aged 17–22 years at the Blood Donation Unit (UDD) of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Surakarta City. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a cross-sectional design, involving 80 respondents selected through total sampling. Primary and secondary data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Results showed that the majority of respondents were 22 years old (26.3%), predominantly female (62.5%), with the most common blood type being O Rhesus positive (36.3%). Findings indicated that 100% of respondents strongly agreed with the quality of services provided and expressed willingness to donate blood again. Spearman Rank Correlation test results revealed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. Thus, there is a significant relationship between service satisfaction and repeat blood donation interest among adolescents aged 17–22 years at the UDD PMI Surakarta City.
