Asuhan Keperawatan Maternitas pada Ny. Sy dengan Post Operasi Kista dalam Pemberian Terapi Teknik Relaksasi Genggam Jari di RSUDZA Banda Aceh

Abstract

Ovarian cysts are one of the disorders affecting the female reproductive system, characterized by a fluid-filled lump that grows inside or on the surface of the ovary. Patients undergoing this surgical procedure often face various nursing problems, including postoperative pain, risk of surgical wound infection, reduced self-care ability, and disturbances in meeting other basic needs. Pain is one of the main complaints that affects both the comfort and the healing process of the patient after surgery. One non-pharmacological technique that can be used to help manage pain is the finger-holding relaxation technique. This method is a simple approach that can be taught to patients for independent practice and has been proven effective in reducing the perception of pain through the mechanism of physical and mental relaxation. This study focuses on maternal nursing care provided to Mrs. Sy, a post-operative ovarian cyst patient treated at Zainoel Abidin General Hospital (RSUDZA) in Banda Aceh, whose primary nursing problem was identified as acute pain. The nursing intervention focused on pain management by applying the finger-holding relaxation technique for three consecutive days. The results of the intervention showed a significant reduction in the intensity of pain experienced by the patient, indicating that this intervention was effective in alleviating pain complaints.
