Asuhan Keperawatan Pada an. Z dengan Anemia Berat di Ruang Picu Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh

Abstract

Anemia has a significant impact on quality of life and overall health. The number of anemia cases continues to rise each year, necessitating intensive attention in prevention, early detection, and treatment. The purpose of this case study is to analyze nursing care for An. Z with severe anemia in the PICU of the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital in Banda Aceh. In An. Z’s case, several nursing problems arose, including ineffective peripheral perfusion, ineffective breathing pattern, hypervolemia, activity intolerance, risk of infection, risk of nutritional deficit, and sleep pattern disturbances. During the care, nursing interventions provided to An. Z included monitoring vital signs, administering blood products, providing oxygen therapy, monitoring fluid balance, monitoring sleep patterns and hours, performing range of motion exercises, practicing hand hygiene, and offering high-calorie food. After four days of care, it was found that five issues were partially resolved, so further interventions and monitoring are needed for An. Z in the inpatient ward. The findings of this scientific writing are expected to serve as a basis for the development of nursing care management and help nurses improve patient satisfaction with the nursing care provided, as well as enhance knowledge, particularly in pediatric nursing, regarding nursing care for children with severe anemia.
