Asuhan Keperawatan Pasien dengan Acute Respiratory Failure et Cause Fraktur Costae di ICU

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Failure is the failure or inability of the respiratory system to maintain a state of air exchange from outside the body with body cells by the normal body. Patients with costae fractures need to be closely monitored within 24 hours of admission to the hospital to identify complications such as respiratory depression. This case study aims to explain the nursing care provided to patients with acute respiratory failure et cause costae fractures. The methodology used is a case study. The results of this case study show that the nursing diagnoses that appeared on Mr. M were risk of aspiration with a nursing plan for aspiration prevention, impaired gas exchange with a nursing plan for mechanical ventilation management, risk of electrolyte instability with a nursing plan for electrolyte monitoring, and risk of shock with a nursing plan for shock prevention. This case study shows that the patient did not experience significant changes characterized by unstable patient hemodynamics, and adventitious breath sounds, and the patient is still using an AC / PC mode mechanical ventilator. It is hoped that handling and interventions can be improved to support the improvement of conditions in patients with acute respiratory failure.
