Sosialisasi Bahaya Pergaulan Bebas yang Berujung pada Tindak Kriminal terhadap Remaja di SMAN 02 Babelan

Abstract

Deviant behavior and criminal acts often result from free association among adolescents. Environments susceptible to negative influences require appropriate approaches to raise awareness of the dangers of free association and the serious consequences that may accompany it, such as involvement in criminal activities. This research was conducted at SMAN 02 Babelan, Bekasi, involving 32 students as subjects, with 22 of them participating in both pretests and posttests. Socialization was carried out through lectures and comprehensive explanations, focusing on educating about the risks of free association and potential negative impacts. Data analysis indicated a significant increase in students' knowledge after receiving socialization, with a calculated t-value of 11.240, much greater than the critical t-value of 1.717. This suggests that the socialization was effective in enhancing students' understanding of the dangers of free association that could lead to criminal behavior. The study's findings confirm that this approach can be relied upon to build greater awareness of the risks faced by adolescents in their social interactions.
