Abstract

In the current era, Indonesian society is making it difficult to find jobs in several companies. This community service activity aims to create jobs for the people of Bekasi City. The implementation method is based on a participatory approach with activity stages including: Problem identification, Business determination, Entrepreneurial spirit development, Managerial training, Implementation of activities: business operations, and Evaluation MSMEs are small businesses operating in the snack food industry which produce superior products, namely cassava chips. This activity resulted in partners' awareness of the potential and entrepreneurial opportunities being very large, partners understanding of product production and managerial knowledge. Partners were able to process and sell various processed cassava products, such as cassava cheese and cassava chips. The marketing system used still uses a door to door system where marketing MSME cassava chip products are still stocked in stalls in shops as well as in markets and partners are able to market their products (processed cassava) through social media. Therefore, UMKM must be able to adapt to the evolving trends in promotional media, such as social media.

To address this issue, community service activities are conducted with the aim of creating job opportunities in Bekasi City. The method used is a participatory approach with stages including problem identification, business determination, entrepreneurship development, managerial training, activity implementation, and evaluation. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) focus on the snack food industry, particularly cassava chips as the flagship product. Cassava chips are a popular food in Indonesia and have the potential to be processed into various products. This activity has successfully increased partners' awareness of entrepreneurial potential as well as production and managerial knowledge. Partners are able to produce and sell various cassava-based products, such as cheese-flavored cassava and cassava chips. Although initially marketed traditionally through door-to-door systems, partners have successfully adapted promotions through social media to expand market reach. Therefore, SMEs need to adapt to the changing times in terms of promotion, including the use of social media.
