Analisis Pemahaman Masyarakat Terhadap Sumbangan Wajib Dana Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas Jalan (SWDKLLJ) di Kabupaten Ponorogo

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of public understanding in Ponorogo City regarding the Mandatory Contribution for Road Traffic Accident Fund (SWDKLLJ) managed by PT Jasa Raharja. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with 10 respondents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of understanding and the factors influencing them. The results indicate that the majority of respondents do not have an adequate understanding of the definition, funding sources, and management mechanisms of SWDKLLJ. Among all respondents, only a small portion fully comprehends SWDKLLJ, while the majority fall into the categories of partially aware or unaware. The low level of public understanding is influenced by limited socialization, insufficient explanation during motor vehicle tax payments, and restricted access to official information. This study emphasizes that enhancing public understanding of SWDKLLJ requires a more systematic, continuous, and easily comprehensible public communication and education strategy to support the effective implementation of social protection programs in the field of traffic accident management.
