Pendidikan Kesehatan pada Ibu Dengan Bayi-Balita Stunting Mengenai Gizi dan Penyusunan Menu Gizi Seimbang

Stunting in Indonesia is yet a national problem. Stunting cases in Aceh have decreased yet they are unsignificant. One way to overcome the problem of stunting is through health education for mothers of stunted toddlers. The lack of understanding and skills of mothers of stunted babies and toddlers regarding the prevention and handling of stunting means that stunting management is still less effective. In this study, it aimed at describing the application of community nursing care to the aggregate of mothers with stunted infants and toddlers through health education and demonstrations. The results of the case study mothers with stunted babies and toddlers regarding understanding balanced nutrition. Before the intervention was carried out, they were found to be (37.5%) well knowledgeable and after the intervention they were (100%) well knowledgeable. whereas for the preparation of a balanced nutritional menu before the intervention was carried out (50%) had good knowledge and after the intervention it was found (100%) had good knowledge. obtained is that mothers of stunting babies and toddlers have increased cognitive knowledge and skills. Therefore, the author recommends that community health nurses can carry out follow-up actions by providing regular health education and training to mothers of stunted babies or toddlers or by developing more innovative education.
