This study aims to analyze the effects of total prohibition and regulated restriction policies on students’ psychological well-being and social competence, with parental policy serving as a moderating variable. A comparative correlational approach was employed, involving students from several private Islamic junior high schools in Bukittinggi. The research instruments included adapted scales of psychological well-being, social behavior, and parental mediation. The findings indicate that students in schools implementing total prohibition policies demonstrate significantly higher levels of psychological well-being and social competence compared to those under regulated restriction policies, thereby failing to support the initial hypotheses. Further analysis reveals that parental policy functions as a moderator of psychological well-being and as a partial mediator of social competence. These findings are explained by the collectivist cultural context and strong religious values, which interpret prohibition as a form of collective protection. This study underscores the importance of cross-cultural perspectives in the examination of digital education policies.
2026-04-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Bestilovianda, Heru Susanto https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/nizam/article/view/1252 Psychological Pressure and Coping Strategies among Adolescent Qur’an Memorizers: A Phenomenological Study 2026-03-19T06:29:37+07:00 Ahmad Najmudin Naufal ahmad.naufal@studentiou.edu.gm
This study examines the psychological pressure experienced by adolescent Qur’an memorizers and the coping strategies they use to manage stress. Adolescence is a transitional phase marked by significant changes, making individuals more vulnerable to various pressures. These pressures are intensified by cognitive demands such as memorizing the Qur’an, along with academic expectations, parental demands, and personal concerns about failure, which may lead to anxiety and stress. This research aims to identify the sources and impacts of such pressures, as well as to analyze coping strategies, including problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving four participants. The findings reveal that all participants experienced pressure from academic demands, parental expectations, and personal anxiety, resulting in acute stress. Most participants predominantly used emotion-focused coping, while some also applied problem-focused coping. Factors influencing coping effectiveness include social support, problem-solving ability, and religiosity. In conclusion, adolescent Qur’an memorizers face significant psychological pressure; however, supportive environments and adaptive coping strategies contribute to better stress management and resilience.
2026-03-24T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Najmudin Naufal https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/nizam/article/view/1254 The Influence of Religiosity and Love on Marital Satisfaction Among Adult Wives 2026-03-24T08:25:19+07:00 Nitta Ria Yunita nittaria.yunita@student.iou.edu.gm Ummu Khuzaimah khuzaimah@bahasa.iou.edu.gm
Marital satisfaction is an important indicator of family quality, particularly among adult wives. This study aims to examine the influence of religiosity and love on marital satisfaction, as well as the mediating role of love in the relationship between religiosity and marital satisfaction. This research employed a quantitative approach using covariance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected using the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale, the Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS-15), and the Triangular Love Scale, all of which demonstrated good validity and reliability. The findings revealed that religiosity has a positive and significant effect on both love and marital satisfaction. In addition, love was found to have a positive and significant effect on marital satisfaction. The overall model indicated that religiosity and love jointly contribute strongly to marital satisfaction. Furthermore, the mediation analysis confirmed that love plays a significant role in mediating the relationship between religiosity and marital satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of religiosity in enhancing love, which in turn strengthens marital satisfaction.
2026-04-03T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nitta Ria Yunita, Ummu Khuzaimah https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/nizam/article/view/1251 The Role of Coaching in Enhancing Mental Resilience among Teachers in Islamic Integrated Schools 2026-03-19T04:37:33+07:00 Dedih Suryadi dedih.suryadi@student.iou.edu.gm
Teachers face various psychological pressures in carrying out their professional roles, including academic demands, administrative workloads, and relational dynamics within the school environment, all of which may negatively affect their well being and mental resilience. This study aims to explore the role of coaching in enhancing teachers’ mental resilience through a reflective and psychospiritual approach. The study employs a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. Participants consist of teachers who were involved in the coaching process. Data were collected through in depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that prior to participating in coaching, teachers experienced work related stress, emotional exhaustion, and limited adaptive coping strategies. Coaching was perceived as a safe and non judgmental reflective space that enabled teachers to develop greater self awareness, improve emotional regulation, and shift toward more adaptive coping strategies. The integration of spiritual values within the coaching process functioned as an internal resource that strengthened teachers’ mental resilience. This study also highlights the importance of implementing contextual and sustainable coaching practices to support teachers’ mental well being in school settings.
2026-03-24T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dedih Suryadi
