Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Index Card Match learning model in improving science learning outcomes in elementary schools. The research method used was a quasi-experiment involving third grade students at an elementary school. A control group and an experimental group were formed. The control group received conventional learning, while the experimental group received learning using the Index Card Match model. The research results show that the implementation of the Index Card Match learning model significantly improves students’ science learning outcomes compared to conventional learning. Students who take part in learning with this model show increased understanding of concepts, critical thinking skills, and better retention of information. This research provides recommendations to teachers and educational policy makers to consider using the Index Card Match learning model as an effective alternative in improving science learning outcomes in elementary schools. Apart from that, this research also highlights the importance of developing learning methods that focus on active student interaction in the learning process.
