Employing a qualitative approach with a comparative case study method, the research analyzes the implementation of holistic learning in shaping students’ character, not only in terms of academic excellence but also encompassing spiritual, emotional, and social maturity. The focus of the study is not limited to the implementation of learning activities; rather, it specifically examines the learning evaluation systems applied by pesantren to measure students’ development in an integrated manner across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The findings indicate that both types of pesantren possess distinct strengths in implementing holistic learning. Traditional pesantren tend to emphasize spiritual reinforcement and religious moral values, while modern pesantren integrate the development of 21st-century skills with pesantren values. Comprehensive learning evaluation has been proven effective in shaping students’ character in a balanced manner, integrating intellectuality, spirituality, and morality. These findings underscore the importance of holistic and contextual learning evaluation systems as strategic instruments in character education for students in pesantren.
2026-01-11T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Hasbi Ash Shiddiqi, Lathifah Jasmine Hannifah, Arifa Insani, Nida Rosyidah Nur Aulia, Ibnu Qoyyim Al Jauziyah, Nurul Latifatul Inayati https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/education/article/view/1199 Pembelajaran Tafsir Al-Quran Berbasis Taksonomi Bloom: Ditinjau dari Pemahaman Literal ke Kontekstual 2026-01-06T14:44:47+07:00 Amtsal Ajhar g100239048@student.ums.ac.id Rizky Aldiansyah g100239047@student.ums.ac.id Nahrul Firdaus Achmadika g100239052@student.ums.ac.id Dava Agus Pratama Putra g100239053@student.ums.ac.id Ahmad Nurrohim an122@ums.ac.id
Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir) instruction in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia faces challenges in fostering deep and applicable understanding of Qur’anic verses. Most instructional practices remain focused on lower-level cognitive aspects, such as memorization and literal comprehension, without sufficiently encouraging the critical and contextual analytical skills required to address contemporary issues. This article examines the importance of applying Bloom’s Taxonomy in tafsir instruction to enhance learners’ contextual understanding and to bridge the gap between the Qur’anic text and present-day contexts. Bloom’s Taxonomy provides an effective framework for designing learning processes that progress from basic understanding toward deeper and more applicative comprehension. By implementing a Bloom’s Taxonomy–based approach, tafsir instruction is expected to produce a generation of learners who not only memorize the text but also understand and apply Qur’anic values in their daily lives.
2026-01-11T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Amtsal Ajhar, Rizky Aldiansyah, Nahrul Firdaus Achmadika, Dava Agus Pratama Putra, Ahmad Nurrohim
