Abstract

Education plays an important role in the development of a nation by producing superior human resources. Teachers, as the spearhead of education, must not only master the material but also have effective communication skills. Effective communication in learning is the key to successful knowledge transfer from teachers to students. Microteaching has been recognized as an effective method in improving prospective teachers' communication skills through practical exercises in controlled teaching situations. This article evaluates the effectiveness of microteaching in developing students' communication skills through literature analysis. The results show that microteaching not only improves students' verbal and non-verbal abilities, but also helps them manage feedback well, increase communication adaptability, and overcome communication barriers. Factors such as student motivation, feedback quality, program design, instructor competence, and learning environment support influence the success of microteaching. This article provides an in-depth insight into the benefits of microteaching in developing communication competencies, which are important for students' preparation for future educational and professional endeavors.
