Abstract

This article examines the application of the Mind Mapping method in teaching Qur’anic tajwid, particularly on the rules of Nun Sukun and Tanwin. This study is motivated by students’ perceptions that tajwid learning is complex and difficult to understand due to the numerous classifications of recitation rules. The study aims to analyze the role of the Mind Mapping method as a visual learning approach in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and learning motivation. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design, using relevant books and scholarly journal articles as data sources. Data analysis is conducted through a descriptive-analytical method. The findings indicate that the Mind Mapping method is effective in presenting tajwid materials in a systematic and visual manner, thereby facilitating students’ understanding of the distinctions among the rules of Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab, and Ikhfa. The Mind Mapping method contributes to improving the quality of tajwid instruction and the accuracy of Qur’anic recitation in accordance with proper tajwid principles.
