Pengaruh Media Huruf Braille pada Anak Penyandang Disabilitas Tuna Netra di SLBN A Citeureup

The advancement of media using Braille is very important in supporting the learning of blind students. Promotional materials in braille can be very helpful in the learning endeavors of the blind and may be very supportive of the technical skills that help blind students overcome barriers. State Special School (SLB) A Citeureup is an SLBN A in Cimahi City, which has a total of 219 students and is divided into several persons with disabilities. Previously, this school was specifically for the blind and deaf, but Cimahi City residents said that people with disabilities in Cimahi City were not only blind and deaf. Therefore, in 2000 this school was opened for all other persons with disabilities, namely mentally disabled, physically disabled, and autistic. In an interview with one of the Citeureup SLBN A teachers, Mr. Utin Kurnaedi, who stated that basic learning using media can have a major effect on the learning development of students with special needs. Also, SLBN A Citeureup has followed the development of learning media for children with special needs, because they have received facility assistance from the government, especially for blind children. In designing it, the writer uses a qualitative descriptive method, because it is hoped that the writer can describe and explain the conditions observed in the field more specifically
