Upaya Guru dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui Implementasi Ulangan Harian di SMA Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Kota Barat Surakarta

Teachers have a strategic role to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, which aims to shape students to have religious character, high morality, and adequate competence. This study aims to examine the implementation of daily tests as a strategy to improve the quality of PAI learning at SMA Muhammadiyah Program Khusus Kota Barat Surakarta. The research method implemented is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, discussions with PAI teachers, and analysis of supporting documents. The research findings indicate that the implementation of scheduled daily tests can improve students' understanding of the teaching material, as well as being a measuring tool for the effectiveness of the teaching methods used. Evaluation of the results of daily tests provides valuable input for teachers in improving teaching strategies, both in terms of material and approach. The gap between practical and theoretical materials can be overcome by adjusting relevant learning methods. With planned management and centered on student needs, daily tests play an important role as a means of evaluation to support the improvement of the overall quality of PAI learning.
