Abstract

The decline in the level of character and ethics among students has become an increasingly concerning issue. This decline is influenced by various factors, both internal and external, that affect the moral development and behavior of students. Therefore, appropriate interventions are needed to prevent further deterioration of their character. One such approach that can be used is Islamic counseling. Islamic counseling is a method focused on providing guidance and solutions to individual or group problems by referring to Islamic principles. This approach not only aims to help individuals overcome difficulties but also to foster good character and noble morals. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic counseling in shaping ethical character, based on existing literature reviews and various relevant sources. It is hoped that Islamic counseling can make a significant contribution to improving the moral character of students, thus creating a better generation with high morality, rooted in noble Islamic values.
