Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of inter-cultural communication on etnosentrism among Universitas Bhayangkara students. Etnosentrisme, which is a means of evaluating other people's lives based on their own perspectives, can help people from different backgrounds interact socially and collaborate. In the age of globalization, the ability to effectively communicate with people from different backgrounds is becoming increasingly important. The research method that is used is a questionnaire that is given to the students at Universitas Bhayangkara. The results of the data analysis indicate that there is a significant negative correlation between the communication between the two groups; mahasiswa who have better communication skills between the two groups also have more etnosentrisme. This highlights how important it is for schools to develop effective communication skills in order to reduce etnosentrism and encourage environmental awareness more inclusive academics. This research is expected to contribute to the development of educational programs that support intercultural interaction among students.
