Efektivitas Integrasi Kurikulum STEM di Sekolah Indonesia

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum integration in the Indonesian education system and identify factors that support and hinder its implementation. Using the literature study method, this research reviewed various academic sources from scientific journals, books, and other publications published within the last five to ten years. Data were collected through scientific databases and analyzed thematically to identify key themes and synthesize findings from previous studies. The results showed that the STEM approach has the potential to improve 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration, which are relevant in preparing students for global challenges and the digital age. However, the implementation of the STEM curriculum in Indonesia still faces obstacles, such as limited teacher competence, lack of educational infrastructure especially in remote areas, and policies that are not fully supportive. In addition, the lack of awareness and support from parents and other stakeholders is also an obstacle. Thus, collaboration from various parties is needed to strengthen the implementation of the STEM curriculum and increase access to quality education equally in Indonesia.
