The analysis focuses on the conflict among the personality structures of id, ego, and superego based on Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. The film portrays the psychological journey of a former detective who experiences trauma, life failure, and moral pressure that influence his behavior and personality. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The data are obtained from dialogues, scenes, and character expressions in the film that reflect the main character’s inner conflict. Data are collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed by classifying forms of inner conflict according to the dominance of id, ego, and superego. The findings indicate that Zhang Zili’s inner conflict is characterized by the dominance of id in the form of impulsive and aggressive behavior, the ego’s efforts to adjust to reality, and the pressure of the superego that generates feelings of guilt and moral conflict. The imbalance among these three personality structures leads to the psychological instability of the main character. This study is expected to contribute to the development of literary psychology studies, particularly in film analysis.
2026-04-19T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Daniel Turnip, Intan Erwani, Niza Ayuningtias https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/azzahra/article/view/1258 Pengalaman Anak Pertama Korban Perceraian Orang Tua dari Keluarga Ekonomi Rendah: Studi Fenomelogi Dampak Psikologi dan Strategi Koping 2026-03-30T10:06:50+07:00 Nadiah nadiah@student.iou.edu.gm Yudistita Fauzy Indrawan joerie.findgth@gmail.com
Parental divorce is a family event that can generate significant psychological impacts on children, particularly first-borns who often bear greater responsibilities within the family. This condition becomes more complex when accompanied by economic constraints. This study aims to describe the lived experiences, psychological impacts, and coping strategies employed by first-born children from low-income families affected by parental divorce. The study adopts a qualitative approach using a phenomenological method. The participants consisted of four first-born children aged 9–12 years at MI Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Banjarmasin, along with four teachers as supporting informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using Moustakas’ phenomenological model. The findings reveal that children experience prolonged sadness, a sense of loss, difficulties in concentration, and a tendency to suppress emotions. The coping strategies employed include both emotion-focused and problem-focused coping. Social support, religiosity, emotional maturity, and a sense of responsibility serve as facilitating factors, while economic limitations, lack of emotional communication, and social stigma act as barriers.
2026-04-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Nadiah, Yudistita Fauzy Indrawan https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/azzahra/article/view/1270 Studi Fenomenologis Tentang Homesickness dan Strategi Penyesuaian Diri pada Santri Boarding School 2026-04-24T19:05:24+07:00 AR Fithriyyah Sajidah ar.sajidah@student.iou.edu.gm Yudistira Fauzy Indrawan yusuparif@gmail.com
The transition from the home environment to boarding school life represents a significant life change for adolescents, involving shifts in roles and increased independence. This study aims to explore the subjective experiences of students at PKBM Sabilul Mukminin, identify contributing factors, and examine the adaptive strategies they employ. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of junior and senior high school students during the early transition period. The findings indicate that homesickness is multidimensional, encompassing emotional distress, impaired concentration, and physical symptoms. Over time, this experience may evolve into a process of developing maturity and resilience. Coping strategies include peer support, expressive writing, and religious approaches. However, dormitory supervisors tend to focus more on discipline than on providing emotional support. The success of adaptation is influenced by both individual resilience and institutional support. Therefore, this study recommends the provision of training for dormitory supervisors to enable early detection of psychological symptoms, as well as the establishment of a structured peer support system to create a more humanistic boarding environment that is sensitive to students’ psychological well-being.
2026-04-27T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 AR Fithriyyah Sajidah, Yudistira Fauzy Indrawan https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/azzahra/article/view/1266 Gastronomi Sebagai Simbol Psikologis Dalam Serial Drama Wǒ, Xǐhuān Nǐ (我,喜欢你) Karya Chen Chang: Kajian Teori Semiotik 2026-04-11T11:23:49+07:00 Anggi Permata Pangaribuan anggipermatapangaribuan@gmail.com Intan Erwani intanerwani@gmail.com Vivi Andryani Nasution vi2_an@gmail.com
This study explores gastronomic symbols as psychological representations in the Chinese drama series Wǒ, Xǐhuān Nǐ (我喜欢你) directed by Chen Chang, using the semiotic approach of Charles Sanders Peirce and Carl Gustav Jung’s theory of archetypes. The purpose of this research is to reveal how food is used in the series as a symbolic sign that reflects emotional expression and the unconscious dynamics of the characters. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with narrative analysis techniques, focusing on selected scenes and character dialogues. The findings show that food in this drama functions not merely as an object of consumption, but also as a form of nonverbal communication conveying affection, emotional wounds, longing, and relational tension. Peirce's semiotic analysis identifies that each dish consists of three components of a sign representamen, object, and interpretant, each reflecting the psychological state of the characters. Meanwhile, the Jungian approach reveals that food symbols in the drama embody archetypes such as the Caregiver, Anima, Warrior, Shadow and Orphan, expressing collective unconsciousness through everyday actions.
2026-04-19T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Anggi Permata Pangaribuan, Intan Erwani, Vivi Andryani Nasution
