This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of TC transfusion units on the increase in platelet levels in patients with thrombocytopenia. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, involving a total of 34 patients selected using a total sampling technique. The data used were secondary data obtained from the recapitulation of platelet count reports before and after TC transfusion, as well as patient medical records at RSUD Pringsewu in 2024. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed a significance value of 0.004 (Sig. < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect of the number of TC transfusion units on the increase in platelet levels in patients with thrombocytopenia. It can be concluded that a higher number of Thrombocyte Concentrate transfusion units administered is associated with a greater increase in platelet levels in thrombocytopenic patients.
Yeni Angelia Betty Prasetyaswati Kunti Dewi Saraswati Copyright (c) 2025 Yeni Angelia, Betty Prasetyaswati, Kunti Dewi Saraswati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 4 1 The Correlation between Packed Red Cell Transfusion and Increases in Hemoglobin Levels in Anemic Patients with Diabetes Mellitus https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1212
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a dangerous chronic disease often referred to as a silent killer and causes various complications, including impaired kidney function. Kidney dysfunction in patients with diabetes mellitus frequently triggers anemia, which increases the risk of morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between Packed Red Cell (PRC) transfusion and increases in hemoglobin levels in anemic patients with diabetes mellitus. This study employed an analytical observational design with a quantitative approach. The researchers conducted univariate and bivariate analyses on 40 respondents who simultaneously constituted the study population and sample. The researchers processed the data using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS version 27 and presented the results in the form of frequency distribution tables. The analysis results showed a correlation coefficient (r) value of 0.400, which was greater than the r-table value, indicating a relationship between PRC transfusion and increased hemoglobin levels. This study concludes that Packed Red Cell (PRC) transfusion is associated with increased hemoglobin levels in patients with diabetes mellitus accompanied by anemia.
Julia Antonia Fenetruma Christina Roosarjani Betty Prasetyaswati Copyright (c) 2025 Julia Antonia Fenetruma, Christina Roosarjani, Betty Prasetyaswati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-19 2026-01-19 4 1 Asuhan Keperawatan pada Tn. D dengan Perawatan Luka Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Ruang Faisah Rumah Sakit Umum Pertamedika Ummi Rosnati Banda Aceh https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1174
This study aims to explain nursing care for Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients in the Faisah room of Pertamedika Ummi Rosnati General Hospital Banda Aceh. In this case, there was 1 respondent who was assessed and evaluated for 4 days starting from 28-07-2025-31-07-2025 to the patient. The results of the case study found three nursing diagnoses, namely unstable blood glucose levels, impaired skin integrity and acute pain. Nursing actions carried out for the patient were hyperglycemia management, wound care and pain management. The results of the intervention that has been carried out for the patient's blood glucose levels have begun to improve, skin integrity disorders have begun to show changes in wounds by treating wounds on the patient's feet, then the patient's pain has also begun to decrease where the blood sugar levels are within normal limits and the wounds have begun to improve so that the pain scale has also decreased. The conclusion in this case cannot be completely repaired with the patient's extensive and deep gangrene wound conditions but for the patient's blood glucose levels and acute pain have been resolved although monitoring is still needed so that blood glucose is within normal limits. Suggestions from this case for further research should be to update scientific and technological insights in the firld of nursing care.
Indah Fitriana Yusda Saiful Riza Nanda Desreza Copyright (c) 2025 Indah Fitriana Yusda, Saiful Riza, Nanda Desreza https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-12-30 2025-12-30 4 1
