N with respiratory failure and aspiration pneumonia in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. This study used a case study design with a nursing process approach including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, physical examination, medical record review, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The nursing assessment identified six nursing diagnoses, namely impaired gas exchange, ineffective airway clearance, nutritional deficit, risk for hypothermia, risk for developmental delay, and risk for aspiration. Nursing interventions were implemented through respiratory monitoring, oxygen therapy support using Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), airway management, nutritional support, thermal protection, developmental care, and aspiration prevention. The evaluation showed improvements in oxygen saturation, respiratory effort, airway patency, and feeding tolerance. Risk factors for hypothermia, developmental disorders, and aspiration were successfully prevented during hospitalization. Comprehensive nursing care contributed to maintaining patient stability and supporting the recovery process during intensive care.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Annisa Salsabila Salsabila, Inda Mariana Harahap https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1326 Asuhan Keperawatan Ny. Therefore, appropriate management is essential through both pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. This scientific paper aims to implement nursing care for Mrs. S by administering chayote (Sechium edule) juice therapy to help reduce blood pressure in Lambunot Tanoh Village, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar Regency. This study employed a case study method involving one patient diagnosed with hypertension. The intervention results showed that after four days of chayote juice therapy, the patient's blood pressure decreased from 160/100 mmHg to 130/80 mmHg, accompanied by a reduction in the pain scale to 2. These findings indicate that chayote juice is effective as an adjunctive non-pharmacological therapy for helping to control blood pressure. Patients with hypertension are expected to apply this non-pharmacological therapy regularly, in accordance with the education provided by nurses, to achieve optimal and sustainable blood pressure control.
2026-08-07T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Siti Azizah, Sri Jumiati, Nursa’adah https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1304 Asuhan Keperawatan pada Tn. At Aceh Mental Hospital, especially in the Jeumpa Room, hallucinations are the most frequently experienced problem by schizophrenia patients, with 19 out of 45 patients affected. If not properly managed, hallucinations can cause patients to lose self-control, exhibit violent behavior, and experience a decline in quality of life. This case study aims to provide comprehensive nursing care through the implementation of generalist therapy strategies and Expressive Writing Therapy (EWT) at Aceh Mental Hospital. The method used is a case study with four days of guidance for a patient experiencing visual hallucinations. The nursing interventions included a combination of Strategy Implementation (SP) 1-IV hallucinations and EWT. The case study results showed a decrease in the frequency of hallucinations after the intervention. Before therapy, the patient experienced hallucinations 1–4 times per day. After four days of treatment, the patient reported only one occurrence of visual hallucination. Based on the case study results, the application of a generalist therapy strategy combined with EWT can help reduce the signs and symptoms of visual hallucinations. Nurses at Aceh Mental Hospital are recommended to consistently implement the intervention strategies of generalist therapy and EWT.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Arini Mayan Fauni, Aiyub https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1331 Hubungan Jarak Tempuh Mobile Unit Donor Darah (UDD) dengan Hemolisis Whole Blood di UDD PMI Kabupaten Blora 2026-08-13T18:50:37+07:00 Puji Hartini pujihartini@gmail.com Betty Prasetyaswati betty.pmisolo@gmail.com Kunti Dewi Saraswati kuntidewi@gmail.com
This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the travel distance of blood donor mobile units and Whole Blood hemolysis at the Indonesian Red Cross Blood Donor Unit (UDD PMI) of Blora Regency. A descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was employed using secondary quality control data from the 2022–2024 period. All Whole Blood units with complete travel-distance and hemolysis examination data were included using a total sampling technique. Mobile unit travel distance was classified into short, medium, and long categories, while hemolysis status was determined based on the examination standards applied in the study. Data analysis included frequency distribution, percentages, mean transport temperature, and the Pearson correlation test. The results showed that O-positive blood was the most frequently identified blood group. The initial transport temperature of all blood units was within the standard range, although some units showed temperature deviations upon arrival. Most samples did not experience hemolysis, and short-distance travel was the most common category. The analysis indicated that there was no relationship between mobile unit travel distance and Whole Blood hemolysis.
2026-08-18T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Puji Hartini, Betty Prasetyaswati, Kunti Dewi Saraswati https://journal.csspublishing.com/index.php/arrazi/article/view/1311 Asuhan Keperawatan Medikal Bedah pada Tn. This study aimed to provide nursing care for patients with COPD experiencing ineffective breathing patterns through the application of the balloon blowing technique. Balloon blowing therapy is a modification of the pursed-lip breathing technique. Its mechanism is similar to deep-breathing exercises commonly used in adults but is adapted into a balloon-blowing activity, making the exercise more engaging and easier to perform. This study employed a case study design by implementing the nursing process, which included assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that after three days of implementing the balloon blowing technique, the patient's breathing pattern improved, and the severity of dyspnea decreased. In conclusion, the balloon blowing technique can be used as an effective intervention to manage ineffective breathing patterns in patients with COPD. This technique has proven to be a safe, simple, and practical non-pharmacological alternative that can be easily performed at home.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Juhri Abadi, Riyan Mulfianda, Rita Zahara
