Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of compensation and competence on employee performance at the Kejaksaan Negeri Karawang. The method employed is a quantitative approach utilizing statistical analysis tools and the SPSS program, with data collection conducted through closed-ended questionnaires. The subjects of the study consist of all 41 employees of the Kejaksaan Negeri Karawang. The results indicate that compensation has a significantly positive effect on improving employee performance, where employees receiving adequate compensation tend to demonstrate better performance. However, the study also reveals that competence does not have a significant influence on employee performance at the Kejaksaan Negeri Karawang. This underscores the importance of appropriate compensation policies in enhancing employee motivation and performance, while also highlighting the need to further consider competence aspects to support more comprehensive performance improvement. These findings provide valuable insights for the management of Kejaksaan Negeri Karawang in designing more effective and efficient human resource management policies.
