Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Police Code of Ethics Law within the framework of positive law in Indonesia using a normative approach. The primary focus of the research is on the legal norms contained in Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Republic of Indonesia National Police, particularly Articles 13 and 15, which serve as the legal basis for the existence and authority of the Police Code of Ethics. The research methodology employed is normative law, with the objective of providing an in-depth analysis of the ethical principles stipulated in the code of ethics and their implementation in daily police practices. This study explores the ethical values expected to be adhered to by members of the Police Force in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, specifically the principles of integrity, professionalism, and accountability that form the foundation of the Police Code of Ethics. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to understanding the role and significance of the Police Code of Ethics in maintaining the professionalism and integrity of police personnel in Indonesia. It is anticipated that the research findings will also provide recommendations for improving and strengthening the code of ethics, thereby enhancing public trust in the Police institution.
