Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of religiosity and Sharia financial literacy on students' interest in becoming customers of Islamic banks. Religiosity is measured as attitudes based on personal beliefs, while Sharia financial literacy refers to extensive knowledge supported by adherence to Sharia teachings. The research method employed is quantitative, focusing on students enrolled in the Islamic Banking Program in 2022. A sample of 50 respondents was selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observations using Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of this study indicate that the level of religiosity among students does not significantly influence their decision to save in Islamic banks. This suggests that, despite having high religiosity, students are not significantly influenced to use Sharia financial products for saving purposes. However, Sharia financial literacy has a positive influence on students' decision to save. This means that the higher the level of Sharia financial literacy, the greater the likelihood that students will choose to save in Islamic banks.
