Abstract

Hallucination is one of the common symptoms experienced by patients with mental disorders. If hallucinations are not promptly addressed, they can pose risks to the safety of the patient and others, including actions to harm others and oneself, as well as suicide attempts. The method used is a case study with interviews and observations. This case study aims to determine the influence of self-management therapy on auditory hallucinations. The intervention carried out is the implementation of self-management therapy. The evaluation results show a reduction in the intensity of hallucinations experienced by the patient, from previously experiencing four times a day to twice a day after receiving therapy. The conclusion of this case study is that the implementation of self-management therapy is able to control hallucinations and patients become calmer and more comfortable. It is hoped that the hospital can provide facilities that are an integral part of self-management therapy, such as volleyball fields, gardening areas, and various other facilities. Physical activities like playing volleyball or gardening have been proven to have positive effects in reducing stress and anxiety levels, which in turn may help reduce hallucination occurrences in patients. The provision of these facilities as part of the self-management therapy program is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of care and enhancing the patients' conditions.
