Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga dengan PTM (Hipertensi dan Hiperkolesterolemia) di Desa Meunasah Baet Kecamatan Krueng Barona Jaya Aceh Besar: Studi Kasus

Non- Communicable Disease (NCDs) cause nearly 70% of deaths worldwide and contribute to cardiovascular disease and premature deaths global. Hypertension and Hypercholesterolemia are NCDs that affect vital organs such as the brain, heart, kidneys, retina, large blood vessels (aorta), and peripheral blood vessels. This scientific work aimed to provide nursing care for a family dealing with hypertension and hypercholesterolemia issues. The primary nursing diagnosis identified in the family was ineffective health management concerning hypertension and hypercholesterolemia. Interventions for hypertension included education about the disease process, promoting, a low-salt diet, utilizing hydrotherapy, and managing family medicinal plants. Additionally, interventions for hypercholesterolemia encompass health education on the disease process, advocating a low-cholesterol diet, incorporating hand exercise techniques, and fostering a conducive and comfortable environment. The findings revealed and improve understanding of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, enhanced family skills, and increased motivation for self-care. Consequently, this nursing care is anticipated to empower the family to effectively apply provided information and skilss in caring for family members affected by hypertension and hypercholesterolemia.
